Along the waterway of the narrow Miesenbach stream, you will find the Hornschmied mill as a testimony to times long past. Many mills along the stream disappeared as electrification progressed. People started grinding at home. The mill defied this development, the millstones were simply driven by an electric motor.
In 1993 , the old monument was completely renovated for the first time, the mill wheel was rebuilt and a kind of foam mill was created.
For our guests, but also for children and grandchildren, the Hornschmied Mill is a wonderful, beautifully situated reminder of how much work it used to take to produce daily bread.
The Schaumühle is now a place to relax and rest for hikers all year round.
