The Gasthaus Windhaber-Gussmagg is located in Freienberg at 540 meters above sea level. From here, guests enjoy a wonderful view of one of the warmest and most beautiful bathing lakes in Austria, the Stubenberg See. Anyone who settles here can look forward to delicious, home-style cuisine. With every single dish you can taste the love for the kitchen and the longstanding tradition. You should definitely not miss the crispy fried potato sausage, the oven-fresh roast pork with sauerkraut or golden-brown fried chicken. The cozy inn was founded by the parents in 1960. Werner "Spitz" Windhaber finally took over the traditional business in 1994 from his mother Theresia. His partner Birgit supports him and even the very young children are now working hard as "taster".
