Film premiere "Where pain meets purpose" with a talk by athletes, politics & business at the Schubertkino.
The new Austria Extreme Triathlon film "Where pain meets purpose" celebrates its premiere at the Schubertkino Graz. During "100 minutes of film & talk," there is more than just moving images – exciting guests from politics, sports, and business share personal stories as intermissions.
Starting at 5:30 PM, guests will be welcomed at the Schubertkino Graz, and at 6:00 PM the event kicks off with a trailer. Then they take their places on stage: a top athlete, a non-sporty man, representatives from politics, and experts from business – their perspectives blend with moving moments from this year's film. The highlight is the premiere of "Where pain meets purpose," a film that shows how people who usually shy away from sports travel across Styria with endurance and passion.
The main character asks: How do people manage to get from Graz to the Dachstein in 19 hours and 30 minutes, including 3.8 km of swimming in the Mur powered exclusively by their own muscle? This film answers that question and motivates viewers to discover Styria from a different perspective.
The whole evening is a thank you to volunteers, sponsors, and athletes. The family-like gathering creates connections: the top athlete sits next to someone who wonders if this triathlon is really livable, leading to conversations on an equal level.
This event connects film art with conversation, sports with regional identity, and personal stories with community. A genuine Graz event that showcases the power of people embracing an idea: "Where pain meets purpose".
