Reading by Karl Markovics with music at Burg Obervoitsberg – witty and literary.
A literary evening of a special kind awaits visitors to Obervoitsberg Castle on 29 August. Actor Karl Markovics makes a guest appearance in the Graz Region and reads texts dealing with the bitter comedy of everyday life under the title ‘Der verlogene Heurige und andere Kalamitäten’. With subtle irony and sharp wit, authors such as Polgar, Roth, Kuh, Torberg, Kraus, Jandl, Salten and Altenberg shed light on how life sometimes tricks us - long before it is over.
The reading will be accompanied by the Upper Austrian Concert Schrammeln, who will provide selected musical delicacies - without any Heurigen clichés. A harmonious mixture of literature, music and black humour invites you to let yourself drift, reflect and smile.
The venue is the historic Obervoitsberg Castle - an atmospheric jewel in the Graz Region. The event starts at 19:30, admission from 19:00.
