GrazThe oldest arthouse cinema in Graz was founded in 1922 as an ‘elite cinema’ and has been a film centre in the Rechbauerkino since 1977, offering a sophisticated, off-mainstream cinema programme. All films are shown in their original version (usually with German subtitles).
The cinema competence centre in the UNI district is a lover's place. A gem. An exciting house of credits, subtitles and exotic safaris on the big screen. The very first programme booklet stated that they wanted to win over both ‘gourmands and gourmets among Graz's cineastes’ and the Rechbauerkino has been doing this for over 40 years now.
