Klingensteiner Achteckstadl
VasoldsbergAn architectural unique piece in the hilly landscape
The Klingensteiner Octagonal Barn is a protected historical grain store with an octagonal floor plan – a unique architectural jewel and the first rural building in Austria to be protected as a monument. The octagonal design with artistically crafted brick ornaments served in the 19th century as a drying room for grain and hay.
Today, it serves as a backdrop for cultural events – such as the traditional summer concert "Music in Krumegg" in the Octagonal Barn. Surrounded by a quiet, natural environment, the Octagonal Barn is perfect for leisurely walks, family outings, or exploration tours away from the hustle and bustle.
