St. Hemma - a district of the market town of Edelschrott - is home to the highest observatory in Central Europe.

The observatory in Edelschrott is privately run.

Various telescopes, telescopes and optical devices are available for observing. From April to December, every Friday - with the exception of the first Friday of the month - there is the opportunity to take a guided tour of the observatory.
