calvary St. Radegund
St. Radegund bei GrazA calvary with 21 small chapels on the Schöckl.
The Baroque Calvary Hill is much more than just a Stations of the Cross. Standing at its foot, one can almost encompass the entire terraced complex with a single glance. In its 21 chapels with over 30 niches, the entire Passion of Christ is depicted up to the Resurrection. Meditation texts at all stations up to the Holy Stairs allow the attentive visitor to draw strength and hope.
Shortly after its construction began in 1768, pilgrims and visitors flocked to seek healing at the statue of the scourged Savior erected in the Calvary Church.
