Schloss Ottersbach
GroßkleinOttersbach Castle is an ornate, late Baroque building near the Sulm River at Mantrach and tells of more than 400 years of Styrian history and noble family tradition. During an expert guided tour through the castle museum, the castle rooms and halls as well as the baroque castle chapel and the castle park, you will embark on a journey back in time.
The Abel family has lived at Ottersbach Castle since 1925. In 2002 DI Christian and Annemarie Abel took over the castle in the 4th generation. After the major renovations in 1926, 1977 and 1988, the remodeling of the castle museum was completed in 2005, and the festival halls and park were created. With a lot of love and effort, an ambience for culture, celebrations and presentations in a festive setting was created.
Another goal is to offer guests a unique tourist facility with the museum, the festival rooms and the gardens, which will create new impulses in regional tourism. Further plans are the Celtic tree circle in the park and the theme path to the reconstructed farmstead from the Hallstatt period on the neighboring Burgstallkogel.
Whether weddings, concerts, exhibitions, Abel's Romantic Castle Ottersbach offer you the ambience and organization for your festive event.
Freely accessible. Guided tours and visits to the castle by appointment.
