Südbahnmuseum
MürzzuschlagThe gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Semmering Railway: two locomotive halls show an interesting exhibition on the Southern Railway Vienna-Trieste as well as Austria's largest collection of trolleys and motorized vehicles.
The 150th anniversary of the Ghega-Semmering Railway was the reason for the opening of this cultural and historical railway adventure world in 2004.
In the Southern Railway Museum, two large locomotive halls show an interesting exhibition on the Southern Railway Vienna-Trieste, as well as Austria's largest collection of trolleys and motorized vehicles.
A special highlight is the k.u.k. Cafewaggon, where guests can enjoy coffee, cake and small snacks in the unique ambience of a lovingly recreated courtyard saloon car.
On the children's adventure trail "Everyone, please get on! The train is leaving!" Children travel in a playful way to the beginnings of the Southern Railway.
