Schwanberg Old Castle dates back to the High and Late Middle Ages and was an important defensive structure at the time. The partial reconstruction of the demolished walls and the viewing platform on the old castle serve as an authentic, graphic reconstruction of the former complex and are intended to provide a vivid insight into the earlier or medieval settlement phase.

It is fascinating how this 18 m high lookout point offers visitors the opportunity to experience the beauty of the landscape from a bird's eye view. The view extends far beyond the vineyards and the nearby Limberg and Hollenegg castles to the Schöckel and Wildonerkogel mountains.
