Weingut Franz Josef Kollar Göbl
DeutschlandsbergThe high standards of quality and enjoyment have a truly great significance in the traditional history of the Kollar-Göbl family in Deutschlandsberg. Now in its 11th generation, the meat manufactory and the restaurant and hotel business on Deutschlandsberg's main square has been run with enthusiasm and inspiration for the past 5 years. This unique history of enjoyment began in the heart of the district capital in 1796, and vineyards were added below Deutschlandsberg Castle in 1811. Wine has been produced since then, but it has never been the main focus.
Franz Josef Kollar not only runs the meat factory on the main square with great passion - he is also committed to the old cultural asset of wine and has made it his great task to completely restage and redefine this for his family.
This has resulted in the new Kollar-Göbl winery. The main grape variety - how could it be otherwise in Western Styria - is Blauer Wildbacher, accompanied by Welschriesling and Müller Thurgau.
