Weingut Labanz
OberhaagWe are a traditional family business and cultivate a total vineyard area of 7.2 hectares. We cultivate our vineyards, which are situated in different locations and each have their own unique character in our wines, with great passion and care.
Our castle vineyard in Arnfels, also known as Sommerau, covers around 2 hectares in a south to south-west facing location. The Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Blanc and Welschriesling grape varieties grow here, producing particularly fruity and expressive wines thanks to the optimal microclimate.
In Oberhaag, more precisely in the cadastral district of Lieschen, we cultivate a further 2 hectares of vines. These south to south-east facing vineyards are planted with the varieties Blauer Zweigelt, Morillon, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.
A particularly diverse vineyard is located in Großradl, in the cadastral municipality of Wuggitz. Blauer Wildbacher, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller and Morillon thrive on an area of 2.2 hectares. This site produces wines that impress with their harmonious balance and expressiveness.
In Krast near Arnfels, we cultivate another 1 hectare of vines in a sunny south-facing location. The Blauer Zweigelt and Muskateller grape varieties grow here. The Blauer Zweigelt from this site forms the basis for our characteristic Zweigelt-Wildbach cuvée, which is characterized by its unique aroma.
The mineral weathered soils of our vineyards have a decisive influence on the character of our wines. They lend them subtle, fruity aromas and an unmistakable elegance that make every sip a special pleasure.
