Festival of the ArchaeoRegion Southwest Styria - Archaeology Festival enters the next round!
This year, the European Archaeology Days will once again be celebrated in southwestern Styria. On June 14, 2024, the festival for families and archaeology enthusiasts will take place at the Grottenhof visitor center in Leibnitz. There is plenty to discover, both new and very old.
History comes to life with demonstrations such as the show fights of the medieval group “Bluot zi Bluoda” or the production of glass beads. If you like, you can look over the shoulder of a specialist examining Roman coins or watch the work of a restorer. A special highlight is also the immersion in the digital techniques of modern archaeology, where the past meets the future.
