A small orchestra begins to play – all by itself? Without any musicians? Spotlights scan the room and nod to each other? A large box pushes itself across the stage and spits out two people? How is that possible? What’s going on here?
The box is shifted, tilted, opened, turned, flipped – yet it remains mysterious.
BIG BOX and Little Orchestra playfully explores the secret life of things and the forces of cause and effect. Between manipulation and autonomy, the greatest force of all comes into play: imagination!
Inventive and absurd performance ideas, sound, and rhythm make objects dance and leave the audience both amazed and amused. Somewhere between visual art, sound, and object theatre, a cheerful and quirky stage universe unfolds.
