Kammerchor Cantus Stuttgart

The artistic spectrum of the Kammerchor Cantus Stuttgart ranges from works of the 16th century to choral music of the 21st century with numerous premieres and first performances (D. Schnebel, K. Huber, H. Zender, W. Rihm, M. Kelemen). The semi-professional ensemble has made guest appearances in European countries, in Japan/Korea and most recently in June 2022 with the “Mass” by F. Martin in important churches in Denmark and Sweden and in Uppsala Cathedral.

Erler Organ: Gunther Rost

Gunther Rost is professor of organ and organ improvisation at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where he also founded the Center for Organ Research. His discography with Motette, OehmsClassics and Deutsche Grammophon includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, Puccini, Chopin and Dupré as well as the complete recording of Petr Eben's organ works. The multi-award-winning artist has worked with Christoph Prégardien, Elīna Garanča, the Windsbacher Knabenchor, the Bavarian Radio Choir, the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, he founded the ‘4D Orchestra’, with which he has made various recordings. Solo engagements have taken him to the Rheingau Music Festival, the concert halls in Vienna and Berlin, the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and the Auditorio Nacional de Música Madrid, among others.

Director: Jörg-Hannes Hahn

Jörg-Hannes Hahn is a church district cantor for the four Stuttgart deaneries and artistic director of the Bach Choir Stuttgart and Cantus Stuttgart and the concert series MUSIK AM 13. He has taught organ at the Stuttgart University of Music since 1996 and has been a professor since 2007. He has performed the organ works of Max Reger and the organ works and chamber music of J.S. Bach in 14-week cycles. Engagements as a soloist, guest professor, competition adjudicator and conductor have taken him to most European countries and the USA, South America, Israel, Singapore and many times to Russia, Japan, Korea and China. In addition to the international series "Sommer! Organ“ series, he founded the ”Stuttgart Composer Portraits" series with guests such as K. Penderecki, A. Reimann, H. Zender, S. Gubaidulina, M. Trojahn, M. Andre and many others, and established the concert series MUSIK AM 13. as the leading ecclesiastical platform for new sacred music in southern Germany.
