The water goddes by Andrè Heller
Bad BlumauThe water goddess by André Heller is a gift by the artist to his good friend Friedensreich Hundertwasser in order to honour his ecological engagement.
Its construction combines three interlinked three dimensional steel constructions that form the body & hands. The combined weight of those is five tons. Head & hands have been filled with 40 cubic metres of humus to give enough space to the 4.800 Ivy & similar plants to grow & flourish.
An integrated irrigation system provides fresh water & fertilization. In a height of three meters the sculpture’s mouth is installed, from which flows fresh water.
The thermal spa park in the spa town of Bad Blumau can be reached via wooden bridges from the town centre.
There is also the following to discover in this park:
-the photo spot
-a biotope
-the waterhole
-the willow tree
-the pigeon coop
-Place of the visionaries
The nature and culture adventure trail ‘Zukunft spazierendenken’ with eleven adventure stations also leads partly through the park.
