Tauplitzalm - Grundlsee
Due to simplicity you can take the chair lift from Tauplitz to the Tauplitzalm. From the top station of the chair lift you walk downwards to the lake "Großsee" and to the lake "Märchsensee". After the so-called "Öderntörl" you get to the mountain pasture called Ödernalm and then you have to walk about 5 kilometers on a graveld road through the valley "Öderntal" in direction to Bad Mitterndorf. Our new aim is the "Schneckenalm", also called "Salza-Alm". From then on you always have to follow the signpostings towards Grundlsee/Gößl.
Finally after about 5 hours walking you reach Grundlsee. A refreshing bath in the water clear as glass is highly recommended before you find an accommodation to spend the night.
Grundlsee - Pühringerhütte
On the next day you start the tour from Gößl to the Pühringerhütte. Always following the signpostings along the well-marked path you reach the one which is called "Ausseer Weg". This one leads you to the two lakes "Lahngangseen". Leaving the lakes behind you carry on in direction to the Pühringerhütte (1638 meters), which we will reach after all in all 4 hours and 930 meters in altitude. For advanced hikers after a refreshment and some food it is highly recommended to walk to the mountain "Rotgeschirr" in 2261 meters in altitude which offers an amazing view to the surrounding mountains.
Pühringerhütte - Albert Appelhaus
The following day the tour leads you from the Pühringerhütte to the Albert Appelhaus. First you have to go back to the so called "Elmgrube" and then follow continously the signpostings to the Albert Appelhaus (path number 201).
Albert Appelhaus - Altausseer See
A nice detour on the last route leads us from the Albert Appelhaus to the mountain pasture "Wildenseealm". The lake "Wildensee" and the place of happiness called "Jungfrauenbründl", shall be part of this tour in any case.
From then on you have to takte the path straight ahead to the area called "Augstwiese" and then upwards to the saddle "Hochklapfsattel". Finally you walk always in the direction of the Altausseer See and you will be in Altaussee after 5 hours and a descent of 930 meters in altitude.
