This HWW hiking route runs along an old pilgrimage route that went from Zöbern via Schäffern to Pinggau. At the Schäffern/Bärenplatz HWW station on this HWW route, you will learn about the lost medieval fortifications on the Schlösslberg near Schäffern.

Arrival by car

Drive along the A2 highway to the Zöbern exit.
Then follow the signs to Zöbern.

The tour is not signposted throughout. Route guidance with app recommended.

We recommend visiting the Maria Hasel pilgrimage church in Pinggau!
