Skitour to the Kreuzberg

From the Planneralm over the Kreuzberg to Donnersbachwald. A moderately difficult ski tour with some up and down.
At the beginning of this tour, the time-honored Gläserboden T-bar lift is there for you and takes you up to where you descend to the Plientensattel. From there it goes up to the Hintergullingspitz and a short descent later you already have the ascent to the Kreuzberg in front of you. After a well-deserved break, the descent into the Lärchkar and on to Donnersbachwald awaits you. Don't forget to organize the transfer back to the Planneralm.

The ski tour starts at the valley station of the Gläserboden lift. You decide whether you want to climb up to the Gläserboden next to the ski slope or take the comfortable variant with the lift. At the top station you turn eastwards and walk to the small saddle in front of the Großer Rotbühel. Take off the skins, because from there follows a steep descent down to the Plientensattel. For the following ascent to the Hintergullingspitze you put on your skins again. You can also forego the summit and traverse the summit structure below. In an easy up and down you finally reach the Kreuzberg. Descend to the west until you reach the forest road that has not been cleared. Follow this road to the Lärchkaralm and on to Hinterwald in Donnersbachwald. This tour is a rarely used and lonely route, which compensates you with extensive views.
Either have someone pick you up in Donnersbachwald or best stay overnight there and turn the ascents into descents and the descents into ascents the next day.

There is a ski bus to the Planneralm on weekends in winter and during the Styrian and Viennese semester vacations.

Here is the timetable.

Free parking at the large parking lot on the Planneralm. Please park in the lower area of the parking lot on busy days as tourers.
