The place Passail lies in the enchanting "Passailer Kessel", the valley landscape between the Schöckl and the Sommeralm. The large municipal area also includes Hohenau an der Raab, Arzberg, Neudorf and parts of the Sommeralm.
You can discover Passail or the "Passailer Kessel" on foot on the popular "Weg der 100,000 Steps" or the Styrian Mariazellerweg, two stage hikes through or around the Kessel. Or by bike, the "Tischlein Deck Dich" pleasure tour is ideal for the e-bike. Driving is away from busy roads and there are many refreshment stops along the way.
The Raabklamm, Austria's longest gorge with 12 kilometers starts in Arzberg. The excursion destinations, the Silberstollen or the Almenland Stollenkäse, also invite you to visit. The "Raabursprung" is located in Hohenau, this is where the R11 Raabtalradweg and the beautifully designed family hiking trail "Raabursprung-Runde" start.
The 18-hole golf course with a breathtaking panorama over the Kessel and Schöckl is located between Passail and Fladnitz an der Teichalm. Right next to it, the leisure center and the swimming lake attract many guests.
