An undisputed highlight in the market town is the Passion Play, which was founded in 1973 by parish priest Monsignor Josef Gschanes. They impressively tell the ‘play of the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Christ’ and attract visitors from far beyond the region.
The market town also has plenty to offer sports enthusiasts: Cyclists can enjoy the sixth day's stage of the Mur Cycle Path - the entire route leads from the Hohe Tauern National Park to Bad Radkersburg. A rest stop in the idyllic Mur floodplains is a must. In addition to attractive cycling and running routes, the generation park, skating facilities, an asphalt curling rink and tennis courts invite you to enjoy active leisure activities.
