Contributing to the unique flavor of Öblarn and Niederöblarn are its authentic country inns, small businesses, rustic farmhouses and friendly huts – between the highest “grass mountain” in Styria, the 2226 m high Gumpeneck, and the magnificent Grimming at 2351 m
Thanks to thoughtful modernization, this community has successfully preserved its traditional values. The locals are especially proud of the village square, remaining essentially unchanged for centuries, the focal point of which is its proud Baroque church. Nonetheless, you can still rely on a sound infrastructure including shops, a petrol station, general practitioners, a dentist and much more. Especially popular in summer: the Enns Bike Path, which runs from Flachau via Schladming all the way to the Danube.
