Jagerbichl-Brandangeralm Tour
Moderately difficult hike from Pürgg to the Brandangeralm with a beautiful view of Trautenfels, Pürgg and Grimming.
The hike to the Jagerbichl and the Brandangeralm takes you along a variety of paths. From Pürgg you hike along mountain meadows and then into a species-rich mixed spruce forest. Above all, the vegetation on the ground has a lot to offer here with a wide variety of flora. With the Brandangeralm and the Hochalm around the Schröflhütte, two beautiful alpine areas also invite you to linger. From the Brandanger you can also take path #289 for a tour around the Brandangerkogel or a detour to the Leistenstein.

The path is lined with different forest and meadow flowers. The route continues quite steeply to the Jagerbichl trail crossing below the Brandangerkogel. From here turn right to the Brandangeralm (unserviced), where you enjoy a beautiful view of Wörschachwald. Back to the Jagerbichl trail crossing and continue in the direction of the Schröflhütte. On the way there are beautiful views of Pürgg and Trautenfels Castle. At the Schröflhütte, the beautiful alpine pastures with benches invite you to linger. The way back to Pürgg is via the “Himmelsleiter” and past the Naturbad Pürgg.
A combination with Gindlhorn and a stop at Dachsteinblick inn is a good extension to this tour.
