Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here and drive to Murau. Keep right at the double traffic circle in Murau and follow the road to Ranten.
Coming from Tamsweg, drive via Stadl an der Mur to Murau. Keep left at the double traffic circle in Murau and follow the road to Ranten.
The circular hiking trail leads from the village square in Ranten via the Kalvarienberg chapel to the Trattenkogel and back to Ranten via the Sophie Hütte.
The ideal time for this tour is between April and October.
