Rössing XC Trail

Moderately difficult, classic, 7.5 km long trail at 905 to 1,045 m above sea level. A wonderful round for the sporty cross-country skier.
A romantic, lonely cross-country ski run past the Ramsauer Lodenwalke with crisp climbs that demand a lot from the ambitious amateur athlete.

From the West:
Take the A10 to Knoten Ennstal - take the exit towards Graz/Schladming. Drive along the Ennstal-Bundesstraße for approx. 20 km until you reach Schladming. Take the turn-off for Ramsau and drive up to the plateau. Approximately 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn off eastwards on the Rössinger Landesstraße and continue to the Old Mill.
From the North/East:
Take the Pyhrnautobahn direction Liezen. Then follow the Ennstalbundesstraße to Schladming. Take the turn-off for Ramsau and drive up to the plateau. Approximately 1 km after Ramsau Kulm turn off eastwards on the Rössinger Landesstraße and continue to the Old Mill.
The trail starts at the Mühle junction at the turning point of the standard OST trail. Here you cross the street and then walk eastwards through the forest above the Rössinger Landesstraße. Passing the Fly Agaric snack bar you will reach the Silberkarklamm summer car park, cross the stream and walk on the other side via a loop around the farm vlg. Krin to the Rössingerhof. There you have reached the most easterly point and you are on your way back. After the vlg. Krin you then branch off to the left and walk down to the Lodenwalker and the Almstube from where it now goes steadily - and quite steeply - uphill, back to the old mill.
Refreshment stop in the Almstube, at the Fliegenpilz inn or at the Lodenwalke.
With the buses of the Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe to Ramsau or to the starting point at the old mill.
