From the historic
town centre, you can reach the thermal park with the
public thermal spa directly. Turn right and you have already arrived at the first gourmet stop, the family-run
Buschenschank Der Pieber. Followed by the
Buschenschank Thaler wine tavern, where music is also at home. Strengthened by the first delicacies, the route continues slightly uphill. The climb is worth it! The
Maluhof not only offers home-made food, but also a breathtaking view over Bad Waltersdorf. From here, the route continues over the ‘Sauberg’. At the Janisch farm shop, you are given an insight into farming, a life as you would imagine it. After two more adventure stations, you reach Leitersdorf and the
Seiler-Ziegler village inn. Here the route is slightly downhill. A break in the cosy garden under large, old trees is a must. For the next ascent, you can quickly fill up your snack bag at the
Fiedler farm shop. Then it's uphill to the
Bergstadl-Pichler wine farm. Once you have taken a seat on the panoramic terrace, the thermal spa and volcanic landscape stretches out before you in all its natural beauty. After a good kilometre, past the
blowpipe and archery course, you reach a small motor skills park at the
Gasthof-Restaurant Teuschler-Mogg. Off you go into the final spurt. Past the
18-hole golf course, with the
golf restaurant "Das Willis" the famous church tower of Bad Waltersdorf is in sight. Sometimes you get lucky and are guided by the
hot air balloons above the town centre. The end point is once again the spa gardens.
Don't forget: Get your ice cream at the Kulturhaus, free with three stamps. Fill in the competition card and drop it in the letterbox at the end point.
