From the information center (opposite the town parish church) you leave the town through the Hinteregger gate to the west. At the cemetery turn right, at the first fork follow the road uphill. (From this point on, the markings of the "Sagenweg" to the "Blaues Thörl" also apply).
Shortly before the Strahbauer homestead, turn right to a modern single-family house and continue following the signs to the "Blauer Thörl". From the house the path is steep at first, then in a left curve it changes into a flat, later slightly ascending section of path.
At the end of the first ascent, a path on the left leads steeply uphill to the "White Cross", from where you have a wonderful view of Oberwölz, the Wölzer valley and the Zirbitzkogel.
At the end of the forest path, the trail branches off to the left to the "Blaues Thörl", which can also be visited optionally.
For the actual circular route, however, follow the path straight ahead, which soon becomes somewhat steeper and leads again to a forest path. Follow this to the left further uphill. It leads to the junction with the trails "Große Sonnleitenrunde" and "Luegtratte".
If you follow the forest road to the left at this crossroads, you will reach a vantage point after about 5 minutes, from which you have a wonderful view over Oberwölz and the entire Wölzer Valley. An absolutely worthwhile side trip!
Our circular route leads from the junction left down the forest. You walk in the opposite direction of the above mentioned paths and reach the farmstead "Strahbauer" via the "Felsensteig" as well as via a short forest and meadow section. From there, follow the access road to Oberwölz.
