Easy half-day hike in a sunny location.

Via the 7.5 km long toll road (toll payment directly at the toll barrier, toll fee € 7, - for cars), which begins in the district of Draiach (municipality of Aflenz), to the parking lot Almgasthof Schießlingalm 1484 m. Along the alpine road to the alpine saddle, from which a path leads uphill to the Schießling summit. On the summit there is an orientation board that names the surrounding mountains and peaks. Then back to the alpine saddle and along forest, forest and meadow paths to the Oischingalm. From their huts straight, south-facing to the Oisching summit 1699 m. Return via Steinlauf on trail no. 22A (25).

From the south: From Kapfenberg on the B20From the north: Via Mariazell and the Seeberg on the B20From the east: Via Semmering on the S6 to Kapfenberg and further on the B20

On the forest road from the Almgasthaus on trail no. 22 and over a meadow ridge to the Schießling summit 1667 m (magnificent panoramic view - panorama board). From here on the northwestern side down again to trail. No. 22 . and continue on trail No. 863 to the Oischingalm 1484 m. On forest and meadow paths approx. 220 hm to the Oisching summit 1699 m. Enjoy the magnificent view of Aflenzer Staritzen and Freistringstein. The descent leads back to the Oischingalm and then on trail no. 25 Steinlauf back to the Schießlingalm.

After a hike, a visit to the recreational ponds in Seebach is highly recommended. The family-friendly pond complex offers a large lawn for sunbathing, changing rooms, WC facilities, catering, as well as a children's pool, children's slide and playground. www.rosskogler.org

Visit also the earth station Aflenz in Graßnitz. The earth station, which was put into operation in 1980, is one of the most important telecommunications facilities in Austria. A short info film awaits all visitors interested in technology.Opening hours: MO to SO 9-17 o'clock, entrance free!
