From Bodenbauer, a wide, initially level forest path leads in a westerly direction into the Josertal valley. One of the most beautiful motifs can be found at Elisenheim (947 m): impressive view of the mountains towering above the Trawies valley. The road winds through the now narrow Joseral, finally in large hairpin bends, up to the Hainzleralm. From the Hainzleralm a few hundred meters to the neighboring Joseralm. From the alpine pasture into the mountain forest and to the right to a forest road. Follow it to the nearby Josersee.
Way back: Just follow the forest road back; at first level, above the Hainzleralm, then in the dead-end forest, increasingly downhill. Again and again magnificent views of the valley head of Buchberg and the mountains above the Trawies valley.
Finally on the marked Häuslalmweg back to the Bodenbauer.
