Kuhalpe
Varied hike in quiet, unfrequented surroundings, with wonderful summit experience.
This hike is a relatively easy but nevertheless strenuous tour. The signposted path through the forest also offers the opportunity in summer to digress a bit and collect chanterelles, as well as blueberries. At the summit you are rewarded at the end of the hike with a magnificent mountain panorama.

More information
Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Here turn right in the direction of Teufenbach. In Teufenbach turn left and drive to Mariahof. In Mariahof turn right and drive to St. Lambrecht.
Coming from Tamsweg via Ranten (or Stadl an der Mur) drive to Murau. In Murau keep right in the direction of Laßnitz. From Laßnitz drive straight on until you reach St. Lambrecht.
The Kuhalm hike starts at the monastery St. Lambrecht and leads next to the Lambrechter sea out to the Wieskreuz. Here begins the long climb to the Kuhalm, which leads mainly along the road with little traffic, to the last farms. From here you hike on beautiful paths and trails up to the hunting lodge (1.605m). Gradually the forest becomes thinner, the alpine character increases. The last part to the summit is free of forest and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the entire region. The way back is the same in the upper part as the way there, but then through the shady Buchwald forest until the two paths meet again shortly before St. Lambrecht.
