More information

It is best to plan the journey to Bad Mitterndorf with google.at/maps.
The starting point is located shortly after the entrance to Bad Heilbrunn, on the left before the Salza reservoir.

You start the hike on the right counterclockwise around the Eckwald. The trail leads in a southerly direction down to the shore of the reservoir. From there, you climb and quickly gain altitude via serpentines. The trail continues over rocky terrain and offers many a beautiful view of the reservoir below.

On this circular hike through the mixed forest, you will learn interesting facts about the different habitats of the flora and fauna found here at ten stations.

Sturdy shoes are recommended for walking on the forest trail! After rainy periods, the path is not recommended, as it is wet and slippery.
Parking is available just before the Optima Gesundheitsresort Bad Heilbrunn on the right side of the road. From there you can directly start the hike.
