Celebrate 25 years of Philharmonic Sounds in Riegersburg – Concert with String Sextet & Organ!
In the Johann Strauss anniversary year , the parish church Riegersburg will echo with the sound of the organ – a special highlight of the evening. Johann Strauss, known as the "Waltz King", began his musical career with compositional attempts at the organ. These early works laid the foundation for his later career. However, the concert not only commemorates Strauss, but also tells an exciting anecdote from his time: In Russia, Strauss conducted a work by the celebrated composer P. I. Tchaikovsky, who would never forget this.
The moderation of the evening will be conducted by Ursula Magnes from radio klassik Stephansdom, who will add additional cultural depth to the concert.
This special concert is an excellent opportunity to dive into music history while enjoying the fascinating sounds of the organ – an experience for all music lovers and cultural enthusiasts.
