We start our hike at the church square of Straden, where we have already started the hike "Around the center". We continue hiking to Klausen and further to Hofstätten. From Hofstätten we continue to Hofstättenberg. From here we have a magnificent view of three volcanoes, now we can hike level to Khünegg.
We now leave a small rest area and hike with wonderful views past Kellerstöckel, through vineyards until we finally reach Perbersdorf. Now we hike to the Perbersdorfberg and Entschendorfberg. Our hike leads us through mixed forests, which are partly overgrown and resemble a jungle. Last but not least, after the second, longer forest section, we climb another dead end and hike between the vineyards. In a wide left turn, we now reach the wooden wine observatory with a perfect panoramic view over southeastern Styria all the way to the Gleinalm and the Hungarian lowlands.
We now reach a section for connoisseurs. We hike along the hill with few ascents and can let our eyes wander through a veritable buffet of pictures. At the Calvary Church in St. Peter am Ottersbach we then turn right and descend the somewhat steep path by the Way of the Cross into the village of St. Peter. On our descent we pass the recreational area and reach the village, which we leave again at the Dorfwirt Dunkl. Now we "climb" the last hill of the umbilical cord, the Rosenberg. At the Rosenberg, Sepp's Berglermühle awaits us with a Buschenschank, the Ploder-Rosenberg winery or the Rosarium a wonderfully landscaped rose garden. Here we can rest comfortably in the shade.
We now hike back a short distance on the Kammweg and then branch off to the right, where we pass a fish pond and reach the Oberrosenberg. At the lower end of our hike along the panoramic plateau we come across the Grabenland Trail "Wanderstock", which we follow briefly in order to turn right on a steep road through the forest, and then past the adventure pool to Mettersdorf.
