We start at the Seebergalm at the foot of the Aflenzer Staritzen and follow trail 401/405 through the Lappental valley to the Göriacher Alm. We soon reach this lovely alpine pasture, which rewards us with a beautiful view of the Veitsch. The Stroblhütte (open from June to mid-September and at weekends in October) offers refreshments. The treeless summit of the Hochanger is easy to make out halfway up on the right. 250 metres in altitude and we are at the summit cross with a magnificent panoramic view. Opposite Seegraben, Oisching greets us and to its right Feistringstein with Hochschwab behind it. Then of course the chain of the Aflenzer Staritzen and to the north-east of us, hard to miss, the imposing Hohe Veitsch with the Rauschkogel a little to the right in front of it.
We now descend southwards to the lovely Osterer-Alm (open for grazing from June to September). We follow the path to the left of the adjacent Hörsterkogel and reach the Jakobusweg via Eichholz and the Turnauer Berg. Following this, we reach the Turnau market square via the cemetery and parish church.
