Winter hike from Grundlsee to Gößl

A wintry tour with magnificent views over the Grundlsee and the Tote Gebirge.

The cleared path above the Grundlsee is initially away from road traffic and later extends along the lakeshore next to the state road.

The return journey can be made by post bus or by cab.

The journey to Grundlsee is best planned with google.at/maps.

From the Seehotel you first go in the opposite direction, between the houses up to Villa Karajan. Immediately after that, the path continues up to the right and already begins the high-altitude hiking trail through the so-called Gasperlhof to the parish church.

Above the parish church, the path leads to the Max Schraml inn and, staying above it, after a short climb follow the Johannes Ude path to Rößlern.

Continue along the cleared path to Gaiswinkl, from where the hike leads through the district of Kreuz, and at the Amon carpenter's workshop turn right to the provincial road that leads to Gößl.

At the Seehotel there is an abbreviated variant in the narrow road up to the left directly to the high trail.

In winter free parking at the Seehotel Grundlsee - starting point.
