Tour through apple country
This challenging tour leads from Weiz through the beautiful apple country along apple orchards to Albersdorf. From there you can cycle comfortably back to Weiz on the R11
There are wine taverns along the route that invite you to take a break. Almost the entire route leads along side roads with little traffic.
This tour is only recommended for cyclists in good physical condition as there are over 700 meters of altitude to conquer.

The district capital Weiz is located in Eastern Styria and is easily accessible via the A2 from Vienna (approx. 2 hours) and Graz from Graz (approx. 30 minutes).
- Arrival from Vienna and Graz: On the A2 from Vienna, take highway exit 161/Gleisdorf West in the direction of B 54/B64. Follow the B65 / Gleisdorfer Bundesstraße until you reach the B54 / Wechselbundesstraße. At the traffic circle, take the second exit to the B64 / Rechberg-Bundesstraße. After about 15 km you will reach the district capital Weiz.
- Coming from Graz via the federal highway: take Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Kai and Wickenburggasse to Jahngasse / B67a. Follow the B72 to Weiz and take the exit towards Weiz -West.
