Relaxing, educational and eventful hike for nature lovers through forests, pastures, orchards and along a romantic torrent.

The Stenzengreith Theme Trail was newly adapted and extended in 2017 by the Gutenberg-Raabklamm Information Centre on behalf of the municipality of Gutenberg-Stenzengreith. Furthermore, many additional resting places were set up. Right at the beginning of the trail, near the Kreuzwirt in Stenzengreith, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Weizer region, the Weizer Bergland, the Kulm and the Weizer-Gleisdorfer-Riedelland. Details are explained on a large panorama board. In the so-called Mühlgraben, where until 70 years ago numerous water-powered stone mills still rattled, you walk along a romantic torrent and enjoy a rest by a small waterfall.

From Weizer Hauptplatz take Grazer Straße in the direction of Gutenberg. Follow the L356 to Kleinsemmering. At the end of the road, turn right onto Stockheimweg. The destination is on the left.

Route planner

We start our tour at the Kreuwirt inn and follow hiking trail 11/10 along the boards. Soon we come to a crossroads and keep left until we reach signpost number 7.
Now we can decide whether to take the shorter or the longer path. For the short trail, we keep left and continue along trail 11 and then back again. For the longer route, we follow hiking trail 10 after information board 11.
Continue along the trail until you reach the Bockhof. Then we keep to the right and soon reach the small waterfall.
Continue along the path and you will soon reach the millrace. Soon we cross the path from which we came and walk the last part back along the same path.
