Starting from the Hotel Muhr in the Pöllau Valley Nature Park, this hike takes us via the Schloffereck to the Folklore Museum in Prätis and then back to the Hotel Muhr.

Starting from the Hotel Muhr, we hike in a north-easterly direction along the forest nature trail to the Zissertaverne, from there we continue towards Schloffereck to the parking lot with the magnificent view of the Pöllau Valley Nature Park. We then head down the valley towards Pöllau to the Folklore Museum and from there back to the starting point at Hotel Muhr.

Pöllauberg, Hotel Muhr

By car from Vienna

If you are driving from Vienna to Pöllauberg near Hartberg, take the A2 towards Graz and drive about 110 kilometers until you reach the Hartberg exit. From there, follow the B54 in the direction of Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

By car from Graz

To get from Graz to Pöllauberg near Hartberg, take the A2 in the direction of Vienna. After about 30 kilometers, take the Gleisdorf West exit and then take the B54 towards Hartberg/Pöllau. Follow the B54 for about 25 kilometers until you reach Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

By car from Salzburg

To get to Pöllauberg near Hartberg from Salzburg, take the A1 towards Vienna. Drive about 110 kilometers to exit 109 (Salzburg junction). There change to the A9 towards Graz. At St. Michael, follow the S6 towards Kapfenberg. Continue on the S6 until the Krieglach exit. From there, take the B72 and then the L405 to Pöllau/Pöllauberg.

Starting from the Hotel Muhr, we hike in a north-easterly direction along the forest nature trail to the Zissertaverne.
Here we meet the red-white-red marked hiking trail no. 913, turn left and follow this to the junction with trail no. 10.
We follow the latter to the Schloffereck or the parking lot with the magnificent view of the Pöllau Valley Nature Park.
We walk back a short distance to the fork in the trail, where we meet hiking trail no. 11.We now follow this down the valley towards Pöllau until we reach the junction towards the Folklore Museum.
From here, we follow trail no. 4 past the Folklore Museum back to the starting point at Hotel Muhr.
