The starting point is
Leoben's main square. On the
Murradweg R2 it goes through the district of Lerchenfeld on a flat route to Niklasdorf. The view to the right shows us again and again the station on the Mugel, the local mountain of Leoben and the destination of another route. After passing through Niklasdorf, here we have left the Murradweg, we continue on the old federal road in the direction of Bruck an der Mur. For a long time we have the little church above St. Dionysen in view. Soon after, we turn right to Oberaich and cycle from there on a side road in the direction of Bruck. Just before Bruck, at the up- and downhill to the S6, we come back to the main road, but we only cross it.
The ride continues over a small bike bridge over the Mur and then along a canal in the direction of Murinsel and Murstadion. Here we meet the Murradweg again, on which we cycle to the main square of Bruck. After a short rest we return to Leoben. After only a few hundred meters the route turns right into Bergstraße, from which we change left at a traffic circle to Oberdorferstraße. Always straight ahead we soon reach Oberdorf on Landskronstraße. We continue along the left bank of the Mur (looking downstream) on the Murradweg R2 to St. Dionysen. Always slightly ascending, after a few kilometers we reach Köllach, located opposite Niklasdorf. At the crossroads we do not turn left to Niklasdorf, but continue straight ahead on the main road to Proleb.
Soon we reach the outskirts of Leoben again. On the Proleberstraße and then on the Seegrabenstraße we drive to the first traffic light. We cross Südbahnstraße on the crosswalk and then ride on the other side of the road on the bike path to the right in the direction of the train station. After a short while we see the new Mur power plant on the left side, where we cross the Mur in the direction of Asia Spa. Passing the water experience world and the associated hotel building, we return through the Chinese gate to the main square of Leoben.
