When it comes to jumping into the cool water, the unspoilt nature and the mountains in ERZBERG LEOBEN are a particularly picturesque backdrop. And that’s exactly what you can look forward to at the numerous mountain lakes in the region. A well-known example is Lake Leopoldsteinersee in the Eisenerz Alps. If the water temperatures are too cold for you, you might want to take the opportunity to go on a boat trip or a hike.
The numerous outdoor pools in ERZBERG LEOBEN offer even more opportunities for swimming. Little visitors feel especially at home at the outdoor pool in Niklasdorf. In addition to a baby pool, there’s also a 50-metre slide. Another popular pool to visit is Trofaiach outdoor pool. Grown-ups enjoy the water temperature of 25 degrees and the fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Little visitors will be thrilled to jump in the adventure pool, go down the water slide or master the climbing tower. Out of the water, both kids and adults can challenge each other to a match at the beach volleyball court.
Good to know: Trofaiach outdoor pool has received the “Steiermärkisches Bädergütesiegel” (Styrian Seal of Quality for Pools).
Stand-up paddling, boating, fishing, diving: The range of leisure activities you can do in or on the water is refreshingly diverse. The river landscape of the Mur, for instance, can be discovered from a new perspective during river hiking. Divers can dive deep at Lake Grüblsee. Passionate fishermen cast their rods at Grüner See (Green Lake).
