The starting point of this tour is at the
main square Vordernberg near the UNESCO World Heritage Site Radwerk IV. First follows a steep climb towards Hohe Rötz, before it turns left after about 1500 m towards the TV transmitter with a terrain-like descent. From here you get magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the Präbichl. After climbing to the Laurentikirche church, you cross the Präbichl federal road and ride steadily uphill via Wegscheid to the Kohlbergalm. Along the Erzbergbahn you cross the slopes of the ski area in the Präbichl-Grübl, before you reach the Präbichl-Passhöhe, where you have the opportunity to rest including a view of the Styrian Erzberg and the wind turbine on the "Lauf". On the old running road of the ore hiking trail and the former federal road (today toboggan run) the route goes back towards Vordernberg and at the "Almhäusern" the route leads back on the iron federal road B115a through the market Vordernberg with its numerous monuments of mining history.
The route runs 6% on the paved main road and 94% on side roads. The condition of these roads and paths is divided into 42% asphalt and 58% gravel.
