The tour starts at Gasthof Eberhard in St. Michael. From there the trail leads cyclists past the villages of Madstein, Stadlhof and Timmersdorf. In Timmersdorf, there are great shopping opportunities at Kaufhaus Sattler (department store). The route then continues along part of the Rastland cycle path to Mötschendorf and Pfaffendorf.
Just before Mautern, meat lovers can stop at Erich Steinrisser's and enjoy his homemade bacon specialities. On the way back, a stop in beautiful Kammern is well worthwhile. At the village square, Gasthof Judmayer invites you to stop for a bite to eat, and at Traditionsimkerei Stabbler (honey farm), visitors can get insights into the work of the region’s busy bees. Back in St. Michael, you can pick up a souvenir at the organic shop "Klein aber Fein". For a final moment of culinary enjoyment, you should end the day with regional delicacies at Gästehaus St. Michael or at Gasthof Eberhard. The circular tour is also particularly inviting because it runs along cycle paths and roads with little traffic.
Environmentally friendly: There is a bus stop for bus lines 830 and 840 very close to the starting point in St. Michael.
Good to know: This bike tour also takes you to the valley station of the "Wilde Berg Mautern" wildlife park.
Pedalling hard, soaring above wolves towards the summit, encountering bears and lynxes, whizzing back into the valley on thesummer tobogganing track "Wiesengleiter", before rolling downhill back to the starting point after a day full of adventures.
