The Thermen- & Vulkanland consists of 38 municipalities. Spend a relaxing day at one of the six spas in the Thermen- & Vulkanland, wander through the charming shopping towns, always on the lookout for a great bargain. Celebrate a hole-in-one at one of the renowned golf complexes, browse the numerous wares on offer at the regional farmers’ markets, strike out on foot or by bike to explore the area by yourself, or pay a visit to the numerous gourmet factories and culinary establishments that will certainly surpass expectations.

History enthusiasts also get their money's worth, the Riegersburg, for example, with the town of the same name was considered the strongest fortress of Christendom, numerous archaeological finds testify to a settlement of the castle mountain due to the special protective location already 6000 years ago. In 1182 Bad Radkersburg was mentioned in a document for the first time. At that time the town was still surrounded by two arms of the Mur and thus formed an "island".
Fürstenfeld was also founded around 1170 by Margrave Ottokar IV as a sovereign town to secure the imperial border to the east and as a trading town - impressive remains of the old fortifications still characterize the townscape.

Bad Gleichenberg is a spa town with over 180 years of tradition. The numerous hiking paths in Bad Gleichenberg that run along the gentle hills with fruit orchards, meadows and forests are a feast for the eyes. Feldbach

Feldbach is the fifth largest city in Styria and the district capital of southeastern Styria, located directly on the Vulkanland ROUTE 66 and the Schlösserstraße. Highlights include the most colorful church tower in the world and the Decalogue Trail, which is the sculptural implementation of the 10 Commandments. Right next door is the Museum im Tabor, where life in southeastern Styria from the Stone Age to the recent past can be seen. The picturesque old town alley bears witness to the contemplative tranquility of times long past. The landmark - the "Steinerne Metzen", a medieval grain measure - stands directly in front of the town hall. Today, the calendar of festivities is much fuller and more personal than ever before. Ever heard of a winegrowers’ parade? No? It’s a tradition carried out every five years in St. Anna am Aigen. The main feature is of course local wine, but its culinary offerings, friendly social atmosphere, and tradition are also well worthy of mention. In the Thermen- und Vulkanland, culinary festivals are every bit as popular as music festivals, sports events, wine festivals and major public celebrations such as Christmas, with all of its associated exhibitions and markets.
