More information
From the starting point, the Sagtümpel, trail no. 216 leads over the "Riesen" to the Tauplitzalm.
Once you reach the Schwarzensee at the top, follow the path eastwards over gentle alpine pastures towards the Leistalm.
From the Leistalm, follow the slightly ascending trail no. 218/209A through a sparse stand of larches to a gentle ridge, then descending further on trail no. 218/209A to a plateau. Through a small romantic valley you finally reach the alpine pastures belonging to the Interhütten Alm. Walk in an easterly direction across the alpine pastures directly to the alpine huts.
From the alpine huts, continue east past a fountain into a small depression from which path no. 218/209A leads left into the Nattern Graben.
Crossing the Grimmingbach stream, you reach the fork in paths no. 218/209A in the direction of Hochmölbing Hütte. However, our path leads out of the valley to the Gnanitzalm. There you can stop for refreshments at the Johnsleitner and Hechlhütte huts before hiking back to the starting point for another 1 1/2 hours.
In autumn, when the larches change color, the hike is particularly impressive.
The train station is located in the district of Klachau. From the station to the Sagtümpel you walk in about 45 minutes.
The bus stop is located directly in the center of Tauplitz. From there you walk about 45 minutes to the Sagtümpel.
