Neudorf - Demmerkogel Round No. 22a
Beautiful hike through forest and meadow paths as well as on side roads up towards Krahriegl and via Hochsausal back to the starting point.
The wine-growing and nature park municipality of St. Andrä-Höch lies at the centre of the Sausal wine region on the Sausal Wine Road. At 671 m, the Demmerkogel is the highest elevation in the Sausal wine country and thus also in Southern Styria. The municipality of St. Andrä-Höch lies in the Südsteirisches Weinland Nature Park.

Coming from the south, north, east and west on the A9 Phyrnautobahn - Wildon exit - continue in the direction of Hengsberg - Preding - Neudorf im Sausal.
Alternative 22a leads from Neudrof i. S. through woods and up side roads in the direction of Krahriegl. Via Hochsausal past the Temmel wine tavern (vlg. Kroanerlschneider) you hike back to the starting point.
After the hike, visit the world's largest Klapotetz on the Demmerkogel.
We take the train to Kaindorf/ Sulm station.
