The starting point of this tour is the former
station Gladen of the Erzbergbahn (today youth center). There is also a
bus stop just a few steps away.
First you go through the Gladensiedlung, a housing project with allotments and animal husbandry from 1943 ("Göring-Siedlung") and at the foot of the quartz quarry in the direction of Rötz. From here the road leads to the Mell plateau with a great view of the town of Trofaiach and the Reiting massif as well as a view of "Schlossbauer" and the photovoltaic plant.
Through the Köck farm (with petting zoo) and the Zlatten, you get back to Trofaiach after a steep descent via Schoberkreuz, Laintal and Wolkersdorf. The route now leads mostly on bike paths and small side roads along the Kehrwald to Gimplach and Unterkurzheim. before it goes slightly downhill back on the Gößgrabenstraße to the sports hall and back to the Gladenbahnhof.
The route runs 2% on the paved main road, 83% on side roads and 15% on bike paths. The nature of these roads and paths is divided into 74% asphalt, 22% gravel and 4% off-road.
